The Challenge
The TEA sought to provide equitable access to the highest quality digital learning options for every school and every student in the state of Texas while ensuring that all materials met the needs of all learners throughout the state. .
Our Work
In 2019 Zia Learning was selected to develop K-12 digital curriculum interactives, educational media supports, web/video based teacher supports, and video family supports for 6-8 ELA for a state-wide digital learning initiative. .
The Results
Zia's team of digital education experts worked to develop a full suite of ELA educational gaming and media options that were authentically engaging while leveraging the latest research in UX and UDL to ensure a rich, immersive learning environment that is accessible to all students. Additionally, Zia developed teacher and family resources to provide training and supports to all users and stakeholders of the materials. Upon completion, an independent review of the materials found that they ranked 98% or higher in terms of meeting and exceeding the TEA rubric for accessibility, educational quality, and digital resource impact/interactivity.
