The Zia Learning SEL student curriculum ties the five competencies to digital learner readiness in order to create a comprehensive student program. Our program addresses student meta-cognitive and non-cognitive skills in an engaging and interactive environment that presents the competencies via simulations, media, game-based challenges and awareness surveys.
Zia Learing Implements the Skills Needed to Succeed in Personalized Learning
The skills students need to succeed in a blended and personalized learning environment are the same skills that are required for college and career readiness. SEL Skills for Success is a student facing course that gives learners the skills they need to succeed in the next generation classroom.

Our program addresses the five recognized components of SEL connected to core instructional strategies and within the context of today’s digital learning environment. Zia understands that the new focus on remote learning calls upon students to become more autonomous learners. The online/remote and digital classroom has brought about both new opportunities and challenges. It has become increasingly clear that teachers need tools and strategies to understand and address the social-emotional needs of students.
Students that are actively engaged in Social Emotional Learning develop critical self-awareness, regulation, and advocacy skills along with social awareness, relationship, and decision-making skills. Students are given opportunities to gain critical SEL competencies within a program that exposes them to real-world scenarios and provides critical college and career readiness skills.
