The Challenge
Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools sought to launch a fully blended learning school that would provide a more personalized approach to teaching and learning while providing a broad range of programs and options to students. Prior to the re-launch, the school had struggled with teacher retention, student engagement and overall performance. .
Our Work
Zia Learning provided web-based professional development and ongoing onsite blended learning PD and coaching. Through the Zia Framework for Blended Learning, we provided educators a clear structure to understand and enact the multiple facets of an effective facilitator model of instruction in a blended or hybrid model. Teachers were provided PD and support in developing coaching, personalization, and engagement strategies to increase student outcomes in the blended classroom.
