Robin Gonzales is the founder and President of Zia Learning. With over 15 years of experience in public education, she is proud to have served as a classroom teacher, school-level director and district-level official for Chicago Public Schools. Her work centers around using blended and personalized learning and 21st Century Tools to address the diverse needs of today’s learners. Her work has been featured in major publications, including eSchool News, the Chicago Tribune, Fortune Magazine and Ed Reformer. As the Director of Online Learning for the 3rd largest school district in the United States, Robin Gonzales developed one of the largest online and blended learning programs in the nation. In this capacity she grew the Chicago Public Schools online and blended school program from 500 students to over 5,000 and increased pass rates from 38% to over 80% through the development and implementation of a teacher professional development and student skills program. That program is now in use in schools across the nation.

Hope is currently the Vice President for Innovation and School Implementation for Zia Learning, a leading provider of professional learning for personalized and blended school models. She has been an educator for over 20 years serving in a variety of capacities including teacher, professional development provider, grant maker, and district leader. She is the former Director of Virtual Learning and Media Services for Charlotte–Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) located in Charlotte, NC. Hope wrote and assisted in the implementation of the first virtual academy in CMS and was also the district specialist for virtual programs including online and blended learning. As a provider of professional development for blended learning she developed and implemented a formalized 2-year program to support teachers in implementing blended learning. Hope is also an adjunct at Wingate University, teaching M.A.ed. and M.A.T students.
Senior Vice President of Operations
Jennifer holds an MA in Curriculum and Instruction and has over 20 years of experience in teaching at both the K-12 and post-secondary level. She was an early adopter of blended models that allowed students to self-pace and advance or receive additional support, resulting in increased student achievement. Jennifer recently completed a major project for Zia Learning, overseeing a personalized and blended learning program implementation in 52 schools. In this capacity she helped teachers make the shift in both their instructional practices and their curriculum towards a personalized model. As part of this work, she worked with teachers to develop 98 full online courses from open education resources to serve as the daily lessons in the model. In addition, Jennifer has worked as a Developer of Customized Test Prep Programs and Supervisor of Standards Alignment for Holt-McDougal.
